Spring Fashion: Pleated Skirt

If there’s one thing I can make a cold spring less painful, I’m going to try my best. One solution I found is to wear long pleated skirt. Yes, in the brutality that is NYC weather, it is still a bit chilly at your ankles, but the length really makes up for it.

Pleated Skirt

When it comes to pleated skirts, I prefer those that are silky with substantial weight as it acts to protect my legs! When I came across this skirt from Reiss, I was intrigued by the interesting geometric shapes. I’m a sucker for good geometric patterns and this one nailed it. The material is extremely silky and comfortable. Of course, the price tag isn’t as modest as I’d like it to be, but I see it as a good investment as you would be able to wear it to spring parties and compliments from friends and strangers alike are guaranteed!

Dramatic Cateye Sunglasses

Like I previously blogged, after seeing a lot of bloggers on Instagram wearing different versions of this dramatic cateye sunglasses from Free People, I just couldn’t resist the temptation to try them myself.  They are just such a fashion statement themselves, you can go anywhere wearing normal clothes and still look like a star!

What are your thoughts on this outfit? Any pleated skirt enthusiast like me out there? Check out how I paired this dramatic cateye sunglasses with another outfit here.
