As spring is in full bloom (whatever that means here in NYC:), I’ve expanded my color obsession from red to more bright colors and yellow is the perfect one for this season. Literally every clothing store is full of yellow outfits – looks like I’m right on trend!
We only have a while left before summer is here (even though for us here in NYC, spring never actually arrived), so I thought I should wear a couple of more spring floral dresses before summer clothes are in. I found an amazing floral dress from Rent The Runway that is so unique I wanted to wear it to a fancy gala (not invited to one just yet).
Ever since I got hooked to window pane patterns a while ago (my very first was a white jacket from Derek Lam!), I can’t stop wearing them! This time, it was pants. Coincidentally, they are also from Derek Lam (I seriously think they have a thing for window panes :).
My love of red has recently extended to hats! Ground breaking, I know. But seriously, this is my first time trying to style a beret with a dress and I was quite nervous about the result. I know that I need to pick the right beret and right kind of red, and I was so happy I did it!
My signature red has returned, yet again! I came across a really cute peplum top from Karen Millen a while ago and could not get my hands off of it (not in a creepy way of course). So much so I had to ask the store associate to rip it off from a mannequin as that’s the only size I can wear left (again not creepy at all:)!
If there’s one thing I can make a cold spring less painful, I’m going to try my best. One solution I found is to wear long pleated skirt. Yes, in the brutality that is NYC weather, it is still a bit chilly at your ankles, but the length really makes up for it.
I’ve been pretty back up with work, personal projects and running this blog, so apologies for my radio silence in blogging last week. Some of you might have seen this style on my Instagram a while ago, but now it’s time to go into more details. Cropped pants are wonderful for the spring as the warmer weather allows us to show a little more skin.
My fascination with white blazer started a long time ago. As a fashion enthusiast, I love everything that doesn’t look like everything else. In a sea of standard corporate black blazers, other colors definitely stand out. Spring time is also the best season to wear white because we’re so ready to get rid of that dreary weather (at least for us here in NY).
I’m excited to do yet another Lady in Red series (see my previous one here). This time, I’m wearing an off-the-shoulder dress! I’ve never worn this type of dress before, so I was anxious what the “off-the-shoulder” part would look like on me. Luckily, I managed to pull it off somehow and actually felt good about myself while wearing it.
After my initial foray into the world of denim (see my post here), I can’t stop! In the spirit of spring, I found a super cute denim shirt with flower embellishments and I couldn’t be happier wearing it for the spring. After all, we are not seeing any flowers here in NYC since it’s still covered in snow, but at least I can have some flowers on my outfit!
